The CRN is a uniform pre-screening evaluation procedure mandated for all DUI offenders to aid and support clinical treatment recommendations offered to the judiciary, prior to sentencing (75 Pa.C.S. §3814(1); 3816(a)). It is also used as a statistical tool for Pennsylvania.

When is the Court Reporting Network (CRN) used?

The CRN (Court Reporting Network) Evaluation is required for all DUI offenders in the State of Pennsylvania. The CRN evaluation is a pre-screening tool used to determine if you will be referred for a more Comprehensive Full DUI Assessment. It is also used as a statistics collection tool for Pennsylvania. The evaluation takes approximately 30 minutes.

How to complete your CRN evaluation...

The fee for the CRN is $75.00 due the day of your appointment, cash or money order only. WE DO NOT ACCEPT CREDIT CARD OR PERSONAL CHECK. The CRN evaluation for all Columbia and Montour County DUI offenders must be completed in Columbia County. No exceptions.

A CRN evaluation must be completed for every DUI offense you have been charged with. You will be mailed a copy of your CRN evaluation results. If you are recommended for further assessment, you will be provided scheduling information.
